McCafe?

I had a strange experience this week. I went to McDonalds for lunch and found out that it had been remodeled into a McCafe.
(Their name not mine)

It was surreal. There were flat screen TV in the booths. The decor was faux art deco. The menu inlcuded Italian Ice Cream and several different flavors and varieties of coffee as well as the standard McDonalds food.

I am not sure if I liked it. I was just so taken by surprise. Are these popping up in other parts of the country. I can't imagine a La Crosse being the first to have one. If you've tried them what did you think of them?

We've had them on the central coast of California for over a year, I think they started testing them out here...I am also undecided what I think about them, but I don't really go often enough to care too much.

Hehe. Took me by surprise the first time I saw them too.

But you know what? I like it. I don't like the fact that it's connected to the rest of its nasty, greasy fast food chain joint, but I like the McCafe concept in itself.

I've heard of them because of the fact that both boys worked for burgercentral and I had seen it on their website...we don't yet have any here in our corner of the world though.

I might like a little Italian Ice Cream sometime!

Here in Central Illinois we haven't seen this! We usually are the last to get things!
